A collaborative dinner featuring Singaporean chefs recently took place at Lima’s renowned La Mar by Gaston Acurio, representing the first major presentation of Singaporean food in Peru. Paul and Wayne Liew of Keng Eng Kee Seafood, alongside Petrina Loh of Morsels, partnered with Daniel and Tamara Chavez of Canchita to deliver a unique culinary experience. The event catered to 180 diners, showcasing iconic Singaporean dishes like chilli crab, laksa, and chicken rice. This collaboration marks a significant step in introducing Singapore’s diverse food culture to the Peruvian capital. The dinner further fostered a cultural exchange between the two countries through the universal language of food. Organizers hope to build on this success for future gastronomic events. The showcase was widely considered a resounding success, attracting considerable local attention.
