A student-led project at Nanyang Technological University aimed to help undergraduates improve their sleep quality by reducing phone usage. The campaign encouraged participants to put away their devices before bedtime to minimize screen time. Results indicated a significant shift in behavior among the student population. Participants successfully reduced their nightly screen time by between 58 and 81 minutes during the campaign period. This initiative highlights the impact of targeted interventions on digital habits. By limiting blue light exposure and distractions, the project sought to foster healthier sleep patterns. The findings suggest that structured campaigns can effectively combat smartphone dependency in academic settings.
