A Turkish court has delivered verdicts in the case of the Böcek family, German tourists who died in 2019 after being poisoned at a hotel in Antalya. The owners of the pest control company, DSS İlaç, Zeki Kışı and his son Serkan Kışı, were sentenced to 18 years in prison without mitigation. The hotel owner, Hakan Oğlak, received a sentence of 13 years and four months. Doğan Caferoğlu, the individual who carried out the fumigation, was sentenced to 12 years and two months, 20 days. Two hotel employees, Muhammad Moeen Ud Dın Chıshtı and Rustemsha Batyrov, were acquitted of all charges. The family of four died due to poisoning from chemicals used during pest control at the hotel.
