A new report from the OECD reveals the worst-ever performance for students in Spain in mathematics, science, and reading. The assessment, which excludes results from Cataluña, indicates a decline in all competencies analyzed among students in 3rd and 4th of ESO (secondary education). Despite a noted increase in the use of Artificial Intelligence by students, the report highlights a concerning downward trend in overall academic achievement. Interestingly, the report also notes a decrease in distractions caused by mobile phones compared to the previous assessment. This decline raises questions about the effectiveness of current educational approaches in Spain.
