Ukrainian drone attacks on Crimea have resulted in at least four deaths and 28 injuries, according to Russian-appointed officials. A major fire erupted at an oil terminal in Kerch, a port city connected to mainland Russia by the Crimean Bridge, which has reportedly been closed. Attacks also targeted the port of Chushk, with a large fire reported at a fuel terminal and oil depot. Ukraine is actively attempting to isolate Crimea by disrupting supply lines to the Russian mainland, leading to fuel shortages on the peninsula. President Zelenskyy confirmed Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery in Tyumen, Western Siberia, over 2,000 kilometers from the border, showcasing the development of long-range drone capabilities. He praised the operation as “effective work” by Ukrainian special forces. The attacks represent a significant escalation in Ukraine’s efforts to target Russian infrastructure.
