Tunisian olive oil exports have significantly increased during the first seven months of the 2025-2026 campaign, according to data from the National Agricultural Observatory (Onagri). Export volumes reached 327.4 thousand tonnes, a substantial rise compared to the 207.3 thousand tonnes exported during the same period last year. Despite the overall growth, the report indicates that bulk olive oil sales are driving this increase, while packaged or bottled olive oil exports are lagging. This suggests a potential disparity in the value-added processing of Tunisian olive oil. The data covers the period from November 2025 to May 2026. Further details were published by Business News. The increase in exports signals a positive trend for Tunisia’s agricultural sector, but highlights a need to focus on boosting the export of higher-value, packaged products.
