South Bohemian detectives have charged a 33-year-old train driver with endangering the public through negligence. The charges stem from a train collision that occurred in November of last year near the village of Zliv, in the Českobudějovicko region of the Czech Republic. Investigations concluded the driver was responsible for the crash, which resulted in injuries to dozens of people. The driver remains free while facing prosecution and could face up to eight years in prison if convicted. Authorities determined the incident was due to negligent operation. The case will now proceed to the courts for a final ruling.
