A Swedish court has convicted a teenager of aggravated sexual assault against a disabled girl. The assaults occurred on multiple occasions last autumn at a public shopping center, Gränby centrum. The victim was particularly vulnerable due to her disability. The older perpetrator, who was 16 at the time of the crimes, was also found to have filmed the assaults. His younger accomplice, aged 14 during the incidents, is too young to be held criminally responsible under Swedish law. The convicted teenager now faces sentencing for the severe offenses. Authorities have not released further details to protect the victim’s privacy.
