A new kindergarten is opening in Jarovnice, Slovakia, a town with a significant Roma population. The project was spearheaded by three nuns from the Congregatio Jesu, a religious order founded in the 17th century. The kindergarten’s creation follows years of dedicated effort by the sisters to address a local need. A celebratory event, attended by local dignitaries and Roma community members, marked the occasion. The nuns’ work echoes the order’s founder's belief in the potential of women to achieve great things. Local firefighters provided catering for the event, showcasing community collaboration. The kindergarten represents a significant step towards improving educational opportunities for Roma children in the region.
