Prague is currently testing a new LED traffic sign in a busy area of Smíchov as part of a six-month pilot program. The sign, costing 380,000 Czech crowns, utilizes LED technology to dynamically display information to drivers. Despite the investment and intention to improve traffic flow and compliance, city officials report that illegal parking continues to be a problem. Many drivers are reportedly ignoring the sign's instructions. The sign’s purpose is to adapt to changing traffic conditions and provide clear guidance. The city hall acknowledges the sign has some effect, but further evaluation is needed to determine its overall effectiveness in deterring unlawful parking. The location was chosen due to frequent parking violations.
