Pakistan’s security forces have killed 29 individuals identified as terrorists in operations along the Pakistan-Afghan border, according to Information Minister Ataullah Tarar. The operations, involving both ground forces and air strikes, targeted hideouts of Jamaatul Ahrar and Fitna al Khawarij, the latter being a state designation for Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members. These actions followed recent terrorist attacks within Pakistan, including a deadly assault on a Pakistan Rangers Sindh headquarters in Karachi that resulted in three security personnel fatalities and the death of three attackers, with one suspect arrested. The arrested individual reportedly confessed to entering Pakistan from Afghanistan. The operations specifically targeted a high-value commander, Khan Farosh, and other members of Jamaat ul Ahrar, allegedly linked to Indian proxy forces. Authorities state the operations are part of the ongoing “Operation Ghazab lil-Haq” aimed at eliminating terrorist groups.
