National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abdur Rahman Khan has stated that the proposed budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year contains no provisions for whitening black money. During a post-budget press conference on Friday, he addressed misconceptions regarding specific tax measures. The Chairman explained that a limited opportunity has been introduced to encourage taxpayers to disclose actual transaction values when buying or selling land and flats. He emphasized that this specific measure is distinct from a general amnesty for undisclosed income. The clarification aims to resolve misunderstandings among the public and the media. The event took place at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital. This move underscores the government's focus on transparency in real estate transactions.
