Malaysian authorities have dismantled a syndicate responsible for creating false entry records for foreign nationals using passports without the individuals physically entering the country. The operation, based in Johor, involved charging RM700 per passport to fabricate immigration data. This “flying passport” scheme allowed individuals to appear as though they had legally entered Malaysia. Three individuals have been detained in connection with the syndicate's activities. The fraudulent records circumvented border control procedures, raising security concerns. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the extent of the operation and identify any further accomplices. This bust represents a significant effort to combat illegal immigration and maintain border security.
