A new ultra-long-haul flight route connecting London and Sydney is scheduled to begin operations in 2027. The journey will be the longest direct flight in the world, with a total travel time of 22 hours. To achieve this feat, the airline will utilize specially modified Airbus A350 aircraft. These planes have been engineered to carry significantly more fuel than standard models. Specifically, the modified aircraft can hold an additional 20,000 liters of kerosene. This technical upgrade allows the planes to cover the vast distance without needing intermediate refueling stops. The project represents a significant milestone in aviation logistics and passenger travel.
