Over three months of conflict with Israel have resulted in over 4,000 deaths and 11,000 injuries in Lebanon, displacing one million people. Non-governmental organizations are reporting a significant surge in the need for mental health support. The International Rescue Committee estimates that nearly half of Lebanon’s population is experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress. These findings highlight the extensive psychological toll the war is taking on civilians. Support groups, such as one organized by IDRAAC, are being established to address the growing mental health crisis. The situation underscores the long-term consequences of the conflict beyond immediate physical harm.
