Kyrgyzstan’s parliament, the Jogorku Kenesh, is developing an artificial intelligence system nicknamed “neuro-lawyer” to analyze draft laws. According to Jogorku Kenesh Chairman Marlen Mamaitaliev, the AI will identify potential contradictions with existing legislation. The system aims to improve the quality and consistency of laws before they are enacted. This initiative marks a novel application of AI within the Kyrgyz government. The “neuro-lawyer” will essentially function as an automated legal review tool. The project’s development stage and expected implementation timeline remain unclear, but officials anticipate it will streamline the legislative process. This move reflects a growing trend of utilizing technology to enhance governmental functions.
