The Guinean Embassy in Dakar has announced significant increases to visa and residency permit fees, impacting travelers and foreign residents in Guinea, as well as those applying through the Dakar embassy which covers Gambia, Mauritania, and Cape Verde. The changes, effective August 1st, 2026, follow a circular from the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Entry visas will now cost $100, transit visas $50, long-stay visas $500, and residency permits range from $200 to $500 depending on nationality. Importantly, biometric passport fees will remain unchanged. All visa applications must now be submitted through the official online platform paf.gov.gn/visa, as physical passport visas are no longer issued. The embassy clarified this is a directive for all administrative and travel documents, not a general increase in consular services.
