A man is suspected of fatally shooting six people at a youth facility in Stade, Germany, with investigations suggesting the attack was premeditated. The suspect, from the Hannover region, allegedly purchased a Beretta 70 handgun with 21 cartridges for €4,000 a week prior to the shooting. The motive appears to be a custody dispute concerning his three-month-old daughter, who was a resident at the facility. Reports indicate the baby was temporarily removed from his care due to suspicion of Shaken Baby Syndrome, and the father opposed medical intervention. Both the daughter and her mother were present during the shooting but unharmed, and the suspect was arrested after a chase, allegedly with assistance from the child’s godmother. The victims were four women and two men, all employees of the youth center.
