The inaugural Refugee World Football Championship brought together over 300 participants from more than 20 nations in Birmingham, UK, during Refugee Week. Organized by BH UK Network and the Association of BH Associations in Great Britain, the tournament showcased teams representing diverse countries, including Afghanistan and Bosnia. The event, held at Moseley Sports Center, aimed to unite refugee communities through the power of sport. Bosnia and Herzegovina secured third place in the competition. The championship provided a platform for participants to connect, share experiences, and celebrate their resilience. Organizers highlighted the tournament’s success in fostering solidarity and raising awareness about the challenges faced by refugees.
