Denmark is sending approximately 400 highly realistic human-shaped decoys to Ukraine to aid in the ongoing conflict. These “ghost soldiers,” developed by Scandic Defence, are designed to mimic human soldiers and mislead Russian forces. The decoys are intended to cause confusion and potentially disrupt enemy operations on the front lines. Martin Thisted Larsen, a partner at Scandic Defence, explained to TV2 that the purpose is to deceive the enemy. The deployment represents a novel approach to military strategy, utilizing deception as a tactical advantage. Details regarding the exact deployment locations and integration with Ukrainian forces have not been disclosed. This initiative aims to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities without directly increasing the number of active soldiers in combat.
