Aneta Benediktová, a 57-year-old holistic therapist, embarked on a life-altering journey to Latin America, initially visiting Peru and Mexico. Despite not speaking Spanish, the experience profoundly impacted her, leading to a permanent relocation. After returning briefly to the Czech Republic, she moved to the Yucatán Peninsula in 2023 and now considers it home. Driven by a need for a fresh start, Benediktová impulsively decided to travel halfway across the world. She found something significant amongst the Mayan descendants.
