Specifically, they are advocating for international verification of the selection proceedings. They believe that without these safeguards, the reform risks perpetuating existing issues within the judicial system. This comes as Venezuela seeks to address long-standing concerns about the impartiality and fairness of its courts. The organizations emphasize that a truly independent judiciary is crucial for the rule of law and democratic stability in the country.
