Rafting on the Vltava River in Český Krumlov will be safer for water sports enthusiasts starting Thursday. The installation of a special tube now allows boats to navigate a previously hazardous section impacted by the construction of a new bridge. This section previously posed difficulties due to construction and preparatory work for the bridge. While the tube was initially expected to be operational at the beginning of the summer holiday season, it is now completed. The overall bridge reconstruction project will be more than four million Czech crowns over budget due to the addition of this safety feature. The tube aims to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted recreational river use despite ongoing infrastructure improvements.
