A young leader within Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), HRM Khalilur R. Abdullah Sahlawiy, has voiced support for KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, known as Gus Kikin, in restructuring the leadership of Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU). This support stems from hopes that Gus Kikin can resolve existing internal disputes and divisions within PBNU. The move to reorganize PBNU’s structure is seen as a critical step towards unity. Sahlawiy believes Gus Kikin possesses the necessary qualities to mediate and bridge divides among factions. The situation within PBNU has been marked by reported conflicts, and many are looking to Gus Kikin to establish a more harmonious governance structure. Efforts are underway to stabilize the organization and restore a unified front within the influential NU community in JAKARTA.
