A man in his twenties fell from Charles Bridge into the Vltava River Friday evening. Prague police spokesperson Jan Rybansky reported the individual was able to grab onto a wooden barrier near a bridge pillar following the fall. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and successfully rescued the man from the river. Paramedics then assessed him and provided care, confirming he sustained no injuries. The circumstances surrounding the fall are currently unknown and under review. Authorities have not released further details about the individual’s identity. The incident caused a brief disruption to pedestrian traffic on the historic bridge.
