A Senegalese court has dismissed fraud charges against wrestling promoter Aziz Ndiaye, brought by Awa Baldé. Baldé accused Ndiaye of defrauding her of 120 million FCFA and a villa in a 2018 land deal. However, the court ruled the case was inadmissible due to the statute of limitations, as Baldé waited eight years to pursue legal action. Baldé’s legal team intends to appeal the decision, setting the stage for a new hearing before an appellate judge. The case revolved around a 7,000 square meter plot of land in Ngaparou, which Baldé sold to Ndiaye with the understanding of receiving both monetary compensation and the completed villa. The court sided with Ndiaye's lawyers, who successfully argued the delay in filing the lawsuit meant the charges were time-barred.
