A large-scale search and rescue operation was launched Wednesday night near České Budějovice, Czech Republic, after a woman in distress entered a forest locally known as the “suicide forest.” Police, firefighters, city guards, canine units, and drone specialists participated in the search. The woman was discovered unconscious and with self-inflicted injuries to her hands. Paramedics transported her to a hospital for treatment. Authorities were alerted to the woman’s intentions due to her reported poor mental state. The forest has gained the grim nickname due to a history of suicide attempts. Her current condition remains unknown.
