A wind turbine is currently on fire outside of Mjölby, Sweden. The blaze is concentrated in the turbine’s engine room, located 50 meters (approximately 164 feet) above ground. Rescue services report a fully developed fire and confirm that blades have fallen from the burning structure. Jonas Penton, the officer on duty for the rescue service, described the situation. Firefighters are actively working to contain the flames, but the height and nature of the fire present significant challenges. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and will be investigated once it is safe to do so. No injuries have been reported at this time.
