A wildfire broke out near the Theoskepasti Monastery in Keratea, Greece, triggering a rapid response from firefighting forces. Currently, 50 firefighters are battling the blaze, supported by a foot patrol team from the 1st EMODE (Mobile Units of Firefighting). Volunteer firefighters are also contributing to the effort, deploying 13 vehicles. Three helicopters have been deployed to assist with water drops and aerial surveillance of the fire. Authorities are working to contain the spread of the wildfire and protect the historic monastery and surrounding areas. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
