Construction of long-awaited housing for residents in Wabag District, Papua New Guinea, is set to begin following the delivery of over 40 tons of roofing materials. The Wabag District Development Authority (WDDA) will oversee the implementation of the Rural Housing Scheme in all council wards throughout the district. This delivery marks the beginning of a project intended to provide permanent housing for families in the area. The materials will enable each family in the council wards to own their own home. This initiative aims to improve living conditions and promote stability in Wabag District communities. The project was first announced by the Post Courier.
