For four decades, the Nha Trang University’s Institute for Marine Vessel Research and Building (UNINSHIP) has been instrumental in developing Vietnam’s composite shipbuilding industry. Beginning with the country’s first composite vessel, the institute has consistently driven innovation and quality in this sector. UNINSHIP’s research has focused on practical applications, directly impacting the industry’s growth. Their achievements include the design and construction of 30-meter catamaran tourist vessels capable of carrying 250 passengers. The institute’s work demonstrates a commitment to both scientific advancement and real-world solutions in marine technology. UNINSHIP’s contributions have fundamentally reshaped how boats are built in Vietnam, establishing a strong foundation for future development. This sustained effort has positioned Vietnam as a growing force in composite vessel construction.
