A Vietnamese professor from Gustave Eiffel University in France, Trần Lê Hưng, addressed the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with proposals for better engaging young Vietnamese intellectuals living abroad. Hưng suggested the Youth Union take a more active role in connecting with and leveraging the contributions of this demographic. The proposals aim to harness the skills and knowledge of Vietnamese youth working and studying internationally for national development. This initiative seeks to foster a stronger link between the Vietnamese diaspora and their homeland. The professor’s suggestions were presented as a means to maximize the potential of overseas Vietnamese talent. The Congress is considering these proposals as part of its broader strategy for youth engagement and national progress.
