Venezuelan men are suing US aviation companies CSI Aviation and GlobalX, alleging civil rights violations related to their transfer to a notorious Salvadorian prison. The lawsuit, filed in Washington DC, claims the companies were complicit in the Trump administration’s immigration policies that led to the men's detention. Specifically, the men accuse the firms of negligence, false imprisonment, and intentionally causing emotional distress by transporting them to the prison. They were flown on three planes operated by the two companies last year. The plaintiffs argue the firms should have known they were involved in an unlawful and harmful operation. The case centers on the legality and ethics of the transportation services provided and the impact on the individuals sent to El Salvador. The men are seeking damages for the alleged abuses suffered.
