Venezuela’s National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) has simplified the permitting process for public transport vehicles. The changes introduce two new license categories: DT9 for urban and suburban vans, microbuses, and similar vehicles, and DT10 for companies operating long-distance routes. Previously, the process was reportedly complex and burdensome for transport operators. This streamlining aims to improve efficiency and organization within the public transportation sector. The INTT has not yet released detailed information regarding specific requirements for each permit. These new regulations apply to both individual operators and larger transport companies across the country. The move is intended to formalize and regulate public transport services more effectively.
