Italian authorities have arrested eight individuals in Cerignola, Italy, suspected of running a criminal network involved in receiving and laundering stolen vehicle parts. The operation, conducted by the Cerignola Carabinieri, resulted in three arrests requiring imprisonment and five placed under house arrest. The suspects, all residents of Cerignola aged between 20 and 53, are accused of association for the purpose of vehicle theft and the subsequent resale of parts. The investigation began in March 2025 following the apprehension of two Polish nationals caught loading stolen car components onto a van. This initial arrest triggered a wider probe into the organized crime ring operating in the area. Authorities believe the group systematically dismantled stolen vehicles and sold the parts for profit.
