The United States has conducted a second wave of strikes against targets in Iran, according to US Central Command (Centcom). These attacks targeted Iranian command centers, air defense systems, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal surveillance installations, including locations near Bandar Abbas. This follows earlier strikes on the island of Greater Tunb in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran reportedly responded by attacking Bahrain and Kuwait, deploying rockets and drones, though damage and casualties remain unconfirmed. Explosions were reported in multiple Iranian cities, including Tehran, Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz, and Chabahar, with reports of patients being evacuated from a hospital in Ahvaz. The US has also reimposed a naval blockade around Iran and disabled an empty oil tanker en route to Kharg Island after it allegedly ignored warnings.
