The United States has accused Iran of launching a rocket attack on a US military base in Jordan. The US military described the attack as a surprise, stating all ballistic missiles were intercepted. As of yet, Iran has not responded to the allegations. According to a US military statement, the attack was carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard shortly before midnight. US forces remain vigilant and on high alert in the region following the incident. Prior to the attack, Iran had ceased attacks on US bases in the Gulf region, coinciding with a halt in US bombardments, after nearly two weeks of daily exchanges.
