Ulaanbaatar city officials have announced a 10-day project to repair damaged paving stones and revitalize landscaping in Sukhbaatar Square, the city’s central plaza. The repairs are in response to citizen complaints regarding the square’s condition, particularly after heavy vehicles damaged the stone slabs during lighting installation work. Replacement stones are being sourced externally. The project includes replacing the damaged stone paving and planting approximately 70,000 flowers around the central monument. City authorities will oversee the work to ensure timely completion. The initiative aims to address public concerns and improve the aesthetic appeal of the prominent public space.
