Ulaanbaatar city authorities have declared a heightened state of alert from July 8th to September 15th to prevent potential disasters related to rising water levels. Governor B. Purevdagva inspected riverbank safety measures and urged citizens to cooperate with safety guidelines, especially regarding river access and vehicle use near water. Over the past week, emergency services responded to 64 water-related incidents, successfully rescuing five people from the Tuul River. Increased rainfall is predicted for late July and early August, prompting proactive measures to assist residents in flood-prone areas. A total of 311 personnel and 119 units of equipment are deployed, including river patrols, mobile units, and drone surveillance, focusing on critical areas like the Black Water Zone to Sonsgolon Bridge. Authorities are emphasizing the importance of parental supervision of children near water sources.
