L.Khosbayar, a coordinator for Ulaanbaatar city’s road and infrastructure development project, has been questioned by the Independent Authority Against Corruption (IAAC) as part of an investigation. The inquiry reportedly included searches of his home and workplace. Khosbayar stated he was called in to provide explanations related to his previous role as a coordinator connected to the Ulaanbaatar city budget and finances. A task force was established by the government to examine potential shortcomings in the 2025-2026 Ulaanbaatar city budget and the implementation of the "24 Mega Projects." He emphasized that he has not been charged as a suspect under Article 22.1 of the Criminal Code and has fully cooperated with the IAAC, providing detailed answers regarding the financing of the “24 Mega Projects.” Khosbayar previously served as a coordinator for the Ulaanbaatar city’s Finance, Economy, and Construction Intensification Project during the previous city administration. He maintains his commitment to working honestly and within the law throughout his 20+ years of service.
