Ulaanbaatar city officials announced a halt to regular retail sales of reserve meat, effective tomorrow. Instead, expanded meat distribution points will be established across the city’s nine districts. These distribution centers will operate daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM until the end of the month. Mutton will be sold at 13,000 Mongolian Togrog per kilogram by the piece, while packaged beef will be available for 15,000 Togrog per kilogram. The move aims to improve access to affordable meat for residents. The Ulaanbaatar City Administration’s Office confirmed these details in a recent statement. This initiative represents a temporary shift in meat sales strategy within the capital city.
