This event marks the beginning of the Olympic cycle for the Los Angeles 2028 Games, leading to increased competition and higher rankings. A total of 454 judokas from 58 countries are set to compete. The host nation, Mongolia, will field 56 athletes, with other significant delegations coming from Russia, South Korea, and Italy. The men's 81 kg and women's 70 kg categories feature the highest number of participants. The official tournament draw was conducted today at the Novotel Hotel. This event continues the growth of the competition, which has seen fluctuating international participation since its inception in 2022.
