A 26-year-old Ukrainian entrepreneur, Valentyn Frechka, has successfully secured €2.3 million in European funding to establish a paper and cardboard factory near Paris. Frechka is the founder of Releaf, a startup focused on creating paper products from dried leaves collected from urban areas. The project originated from an idea developed during his high school years. This innovative approach aims to provide a sustainable alternative to traditional paper production. The new facility will contribute to a circular economy by utilizing waste materials. Releaf’s venture demonstrates the potential for European funding to support environmentally conscious businesses and Ukrainian entrepreneurship.
