Ukrainian forces reportedly struck the Kamensky Combine, a solid rocket fuel plant in Russia’s Rostov Oblast, during the night of August 15-16. This strike targeted a facility close to the Ukrainian border. Simultaneously, Ukraine reported continued impacts from earlier attacks on petrochemical plants in Tyumen and Orenburg Oblasts, located much further inland – over 2,000km and 1,500km from the border, respectively. The damage to these petrochemical facilities follows previous Ukrainian strikes indicating a broadening scope of targets. These actions suggest a Ukrainian strategy to disrupt Russia's logistical and industrial capabilities. The General Staff of Ukraine confirmed the impact of these strikes, highlighting a sustained effort to degrade Russian resources.
