Ukraine is utilizing small, unmanned interceptor drones as a key component in its defense against increasingly frequent and sophisticated Russian attacks. These attacks typically combine drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles, with Iranian-designed Shahed drones posing a significant threat due to their growing speed and numbers. Since last summer, Ukrainian forces have been actively deploying these interceptor drones to neutralize the incoming threats. The drones represent a novel approach to countering the evolving tactics employed by Russia in the ongoing conflict. Their effectiveness is becoming crucial as Ukraine seeks to protect its airspace and critical infrastructure.
