Ukraine is rapidly expanding a network designed to protect against drone attacks near the front lines. As of recently, over 887 kilometers of protective infrastructure have been installed in frontline regions since the beginning of 2026. This network aims to counter the increasing use of drones for reconnaissance and attacks by opposing forces. The system appears to disrupt drone signals or physically obstruct their flight paths. Construction is progressing at a rate of nine kilometers per day, indicating a significant investment and prioritization of this defensive measure. The initiative seeks to safeguard critical infrastructure and troop movements in the active combat zones. This growing network represents a key component of Ukraine’s evolving defense strategy.
