A school bus crash in eastern Uganda has resulted in the deaths of twenty children and one adult. The victims were returning from a school trip to Sipi Falls, approximately 300 kilometers from Kampala. At least 28 children were hospitalized, with nine reported in critical condition. The deceased adult has been identified as the founder and head of the Kampala-based primary school. Initial investigations suggest the driver lost control of the bus, causing it to veer off the road, hit a large rock, and overturn. Local residents provided immediate first aid, and authorities are continuing to investigate the incident further. The community is praised for their swift response and support of the victims.
