Uganda’s Local Government Minister Balaam Barugahara has instructed the Masindi Chief Administrative Officer, Samuel Kasaija, to secure the completion of the Kijunjubwa Seed Secondary School within one month. The school project, undertaken by CMD Investments Limited, has faced significant delays since its commencement in 2023. Originally slated for completion within 18 months, the multi-billion-shilling facility remains unfinished. Minister Barugahara’s directive puts pressure on both the contractor and local administration to expedite the handover of the school to the government. The delayed opening impacts access to education for students in the Masindi region. Authorities are seeking swift resolution to ensure the school becomes operational as initially planned. The school is located in Kijunjubwa, Masindi, Uganda.
