Hundreds of residents in Uasin Gishu County participated in a walk on Friday to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event, organized by Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), AMPATH, Uasin Gishu County, and partner organizations, began at the Chandaria Cancer and Chronic Disease Centre. The walk proceeded through Eldoret’s central business district (CBD) and culminated at Uasin Gishu County Hospital. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote early detection. Organizers hope to encourage preventative measures and provide support to those affected by the disease throughout the month. The colourful event demonstrated a strong community commitment to battling breast cancer in Uasin Gishu County.
