Two laborers died and four others were critically injured after being electrocuted while installing a deep tube well in Dashmina Upazila, Patuakhali District, Bangladesh on Saturday evening. The incident occurred in the Gulia Auliapur village of Ward No. 7, Rangopaldi Union. The workers were reportedly installing the well when they came into contact with live electrical wires. Injured workers were transported to Dashmina Upazila Health Complex for medical treatment. Local sources indicate the well installation was being undertaken by or for former Union Parishad member Rafiq Hawlader. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
